A1: Double-click the clip in the Browser, drag it to the Viewer, or select it and press Return.
A2: Use the Mark In and Mark Out buttons in the Viewer, or the keyboard shortcuts, I and O.
A3: Enter the amount in the Timecode Duration field.
A4: Drag an In or Out mark in the Viewer.
A5: You see a waveform display of the sound. All marking functions are the same.
A6: Press Shift-I or Shift-O to go to an In or Out point. Press Option-I or Option-O to remove an In or Out point. Press Option-X to remove both marks at the same time.
A7: Choose that option from the File menu, press Cmd-N, or Ctrl-click in the Browser and choose New Sequence.
A8: The representative source tracks from the clip appear as source controls in the Timeline track area.
A9: Position the playhead where you want to place the clip in the sequence, and patch the source controls to the desired destination track.
A10: You can drag the marked clip into the Canvas and drop it into the Overwrite section of the Edit Overlay, click the red Overwrite button, or press F10.
A11: You can drag the clip into the Insert section of the Edit Overlay, click the yellow Insert button, or press F9.
A12: Click the appropriate edit button or shortcut.
A13: Ctrl-click in the Browser and choose Duplicate from the short cut menu.
