Chapter 8. Integrating Premiere Pro and ... > Working with Adobe Premiere

Working with Adobe Premiere

As you no doubt know, Adobe Premiere and Premiere Pro are great tools for editing together content for timelines and motion menus. Either version can be used with Encore DVD, but, as you might expect, Premiere Pro has a few extra features, such as the capability to output video files in AVI, QuickTime, or MPEG-2. With the MPEG-2 capability, many DVD creators will choose to do all their trans coding to MPEG-2 as the last step in the editing process, rather than as part of the DVD authoring process. Premiere Pro also has the ability to embed markers in its timelines, which can be used as chapter points in Encore DVD. For more information on these and other Premiere Pro features, go to www.adobe.com.
