Chapter 7. Integrating Photoshop > Creating Custom Styles in Photoshop

Creating Custom Styles in Photoshop

As you saw in Chapter 4, Encore DVD's Styles palette lets you add layer effects, such as drop shadows, glows, gradients, etc. to objects in a menu. You can create custom styles in Photoshop and add them to Encore DVD's Styles palette. A style is defined as a single-layer Photoshop file with effects applied to it via Photoshop's Layer Styles menu. There are three types of layers you can create in Photoshop—image, text, and shape—and this type determines the category that Encore DVD will assign it in the Styles palette. You can create custom styles that will either replace or add to any existing effects on a layer in Encore DVD.
