Using effects

Video and audio effects are an extremely useful addition to Premiere Elements. For example, you can use certain effects to correct footage which is too dark or has an incorrect color balance. Additionally, you can use Premiere Elements' effects to create qualities not present in the original video. These include creating a blur or adding a color tint.

You can add an effect to any clip in the timeline, and even apply the same effect numerous times to the same clip with different settings. By default, when you add an effect to a clip, it is active for the duration of the clip.
