A1: If the effect has not been rendered, a red bar is located at the top of the clip in the Timeline window. If the effect has been rendered, you will see a blue-green bar.
A2: On the clip which contains the effects you wish to copy, shift-click the multiple effects in the Effect Controls window. You can then copy them by choosing Edit > Copy. Then choose the clip you wish to transfer the effects to and choose Edit > Paste.
A3: Fixed effects are the effects which every clip in Premiere has enabled by default. These effects are Motion, Opacity, and Volume. Within the Motion effect, Scale, Position, Rotation and Anchor Point are all properties which can be adjusted to create a Picture in Picture effect, for example.
