Capturing video or audio only

By default, Premiere Elements will always capture the Video and Audio tracks of every clip. There may be times when you would like to capture only the video portion of your footage, or alternatively only the audio portion. This will save space on your hard drive. An example might be a musical performance in which the video portion is poorly lit, or for other reasons unusable. You may have a slideshow in which you'll want to use only the audio portion, for example.

In the Capture window, click on the More button. From the list of options, choose Capture Video if you want solely the Video track. If you want just the Audio track, choose the Capture Audio option.

Click the Capture button, and Premiere Elements will capture only Video or Audio based on your choice.
