Review answers

A1: The advantages to exporting to DV tape are the ability to connect your DV device to your personal computer using the same IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable you use to capture video. Additionally there is less generation loss when recording to DV tape than there is when recording to analog media such as a VCR tape. Exporting to a DV device also allows you to take advantage of device control, which allows you to use Premiere Elements to stop and start your DV device.
A2: You can export your Premiere Elements project as a movie file by choosing File > Export > Movie. You can also choose File > Export and select one of the three file formats, Windows Media, MPEG, or Quicktime.
A3: You can export a single frame of video as a still image by clicking the export frame button in the Monitor window, or by choosing File > Export > Frame. The default settings are to save the image in DV format, making acceptable for re-use in a Premiere Elements project.
