Animating Opacity and Volume

As explained in “Choosing a Keyframing Method” earlier in this chapter, keyframing in the timeline, or rubberbanding, is ideally suited to controlling opacity and volume. In fact, in the Show Keyframes button's drop-down menu, opacity and volume are listed separately from other property keyframes. Even though the previous sections covered rubberbanding techniques, it's worthwhile to review the process in terms of opacity and volume.
