Chapter 13. Working with Effects > Setting and Animating Effect Properties

Setting and Animating Effect Properties

A property refers to any effect parameter to which you can assign a value. For example, you can specify a clip's Opacity property value from 0 percent (completely transparent) to 100 percent (completely opaque), or you can determine the intensity of the Gaussian Blur filter by adjusting its blur value. You can set any property to a single global value for the duration of the clip. You can also animate a property, varying its values over time.
