Chapter 1. Premiere Pro Basics > Using Keyboard Shortcuts

Using Keyboard Shortcuts

One way to increase your speed and efficiency is to take advantage of keyboard shortcuts. A standard set of keyboard shortcuts, the Adobe Premiere Pro Factory Default shortcuts, is built in. Premiere Pro doesn't ship with a quick reference card for keyboard shortcuts, but the interface helps you learn them in other ways. The keyboard shortcut for a menu command appears across from the command in the right column (Figure 1.14). You may also have noticed that hovering the mouse pointer over a button or icon reveals a tool tip, a small box identifying both the item's name and its keyboard equivalent, if it has one (Figure 1.15). Other standard key board shortcuts are documented in the online Help system. This book mentions the most common and useful shortcuts in the pertinent sections.
