Chapter 11. Mixing Audio > Customizing the Audio Mixer

Customizing the Audio Mixer

Like the program view and the Timeline window, the audio mixer lets you toggle the current sequence's time ruler between frames and audio samples. Depending on whether your mix requires effects, you can expand or collapse an area that includes effects and sends (later sections explain how to use effects and sends). When the number of tracks in a complex mix makes the audio mixer consume too much screen space, you can hide the tracks you're not using. On the other hand, when you're concentrating on video editing, you can reduce the audio mixer to show only the master meters, so you can keep an eye on the output levels.
