Using Labels

By default, the Name column is followed by a Label column. Instead of providing a text field or a check box, the Label column identifies each item by a small color swatch. You can choose from eight colors to represent the six types of items in the Project window: Bin, Sequence, Video, Audio, Movie, and Still. The label helps you identify an item not only in the Project window, but in the Timeline window as well.

Offline files, counting leaders, and bars and tone use the same label color as sequences. Color mattes, black video, and titles use the same label color as stills.
