Capturing Audio and Video

Even though it takes the next several tasks to cover the capture process, don't be alarmed: Premiere Pro's Capture window makes capturing a straightforward process. The following sections simply explain the variations. You can capture clips on the fly by playing and recording the footage. Or you can define the start and end times of the clip (its In point and Out point, respectively) before you commit it to the hard drive. Finally, you can use Premiere Pro's scene-detect feature to capture clips automatically, so that each camera shot becomes a separate clip. Overall, the methods are similar and, for the most part, intuitive.
