Viewing the Sequence

As you saw in Chapter 5, “Editing Clips into a Sequence,” you can view an edited sequence two ways: in the Monitor window’s Timeline view or in the Timeline window. Before going any further, it’s worthwhile to review the relationship between the two.

The Timeline view shows the frame at the current time, much as it would appear on a television display (Figure 6.1); the Timeline window graphically represents all of the sequence’s clips arranged in time (Figure 6.2). As you proceed through the chapter, bear in mind that you can cue the current time and control playback using either window.
