Grouping Clips

Even though you can select and move any number of clips (even a noncontiguous range of clips), at times it may be more convenient to group them. Grouping clips allows you to select and move them as a single clip.

You can adjust the outer edges—the In point of the first clip or the Out point of the last clip—of the group, but not the interior In and Out points. As opposed to individual clips, you can’t apply clip-based commands (like speed changes) or effects to the group. However, you can select individual members of the group and apply effects to them without ungrouping the clips. And, of course, you can ungroup the clips at any time.
