Changing the Magnification

Whatever size you make the Monitor window, the video in each view automatically scales to fit in the available space. However, you can see the video in more detail by increasing a view’s magnification setting. Alternatively, you can decrease the magnification setting to reduce the image relative to the pasteboard area around it—in order to adjust motion effects more easily, for example. The magnification setting is for viewing purposes only; it doesn’t alter the video’s appearance for output or change the source file in any way.

To set the view’s magnification:
