Adding Clips by Dragging

You can add a source clip to a sequence by dragging it to the appropriate track in the Timeline window. Drag the clip from the source view if you want to set its edit marks (In point, Out point, markers) before adding it to a sequence. If you want to use the clip’s most recent edit marks, you can drag it directly from the Media window.

You can drag a linked clip (a clip containing both audio and video) to either a video or audio track. When you do, the video or audio components appear in a corresponding track. For example, dragging a clip to video 1 makes the linked audio appear in audio 1.
