Chapter 9. Creating Titles > Creating Shape Objects

Creating Shape Objects

When you create a shape, you define its dimensions by defining the size of an invisible, rectangular box called a bounding box. Whereas a rectangle fits exactly inside its bounding box, other shapes are circumscribed within theirs. When you select a shape, its bounding box appears with six handles, small squares you can grab and drag to change the dimensions of the box—and thereby the shape it contains.

You can also create open and closed polygons and Bezier shapes. These techniques are covered in later sections.
