Chapter 1. Basic Elements > Using Keyboard Shortcuts

Using Keyboard Shortcuts

One way to increase your speed and efficiency is to take advantage of keyboard shortcuts. A standard set of keyboard shortcuts, the so-called Adobe Premiere Elements Factory Defaults, is built in. Premiere Elements doesn’t ship with a Quick Reference Card for keyboard shortcuts, but the interface helps you learn them in other ways. The keyboard shortcut for a menu command appears across from the command in the right column (Figure 1.27). And you may have noticed that hovering the mouse pointer over a button or icon reveals a Tool Tip, a small box identifying not only the item’s name but also its keyboard equivalent, if available (Figure 1.28). This book mentions the most common and useful shortcuts in the pertinent sections.
