Keyframing in the Effect Controls Window

Essentially, keyframing is nothing more than repeating a two-step process: setting the current frame, and setting the property value for that frame. The specific steps are outlined in this section.

If you’re new to animating with keyframes, you might want to start with a simple effect property that yields results that are easy to see. For starters, try the Scale property (under the Motion category), or add a standard effect such as Fast Blur.
