Chapter 10. Adding Effects > Disabling and Removing Effects

Disabling and Removing Effects

Whereas you can view effect values in either the Timeline window or the Effect Controls window, you can disable effects only in the Effect Controls window. Disabling an effect doesn’t delete your settings; it turns off the effect until you toggle it back on.

You can also completely remove one or all effects from a clip. Naturally, you can’t remove the fixed, or inherent, effects: motion, opacity, and volume.
