Lesson 13. Warping > Warping the Scarf

Warping the Scarf

Even though the scarf is not connected to the woman’s neck, you can probably tell that it won’t look right—it’s way too wide. You’ll see what I mean once the scarf is positioned. We’ll use warping to deform the scarf and make it much thinner.

Position the Scarf

1.
View Over1 and edit the parameters of Move2D1.

2.
Press the Control key and move your pointer over the center circle onscreen control until it highlights. When it highlights, drag and then release over the left end of the scarf.

This sets the center point for rotating and positioning the scarf.

3.
Drag the Center crosshairs and release when they are positioned directly behind the woman’s neck.

4.
Rotate the scarf counterclockwise by setting the Angle parameter to a value of 5.

The scarf rotates upward, pivoting around the Center position.

5.
Make a flipbook of what you have done so far.

It is obvious that the scarf is way too wide. Time for some warpage.

6.
Close the flipbook.
