Chapter 9. Applying Special Effects > Varying Playback Speed

Varying Playback Speed

Changing the playback speed of your clips is useful in a variety of circumstances, whether it's to showcase a child's look of delight or slow your golf swing to better reveal its flaws. Studio offers two modes for resetting playback speed. By using a slider control, you can specify any speed from one-tenth the original to five times faster. Or you can drag the clip to the desired duration, a useful method during insert edits or any time you need a clip to fill a defined space.
