Layer Property Types

A property refers to any of a layer's visual or audio characteristics to which you can assign different values over time. Properties fall into these main categories: masks, effects, and transform (Figure 7.1). In addition, layers that contain audio include an audio property, and 3D layers include a Material Options property. (For more information on the special characteristics of 3D layers, see Chapter 16, “3D Layers.”)
