Chapter 9. Mask Essentials > Selecting Masks and Points

Selecting Masks and Points

To alter all or part of a mask, you must first select its control points—usually accomplished via (what else?) the Selection tool. (Sorry, Illustrator users; you won't find a Direct Selection tool.) Select one or more control points to change the shape of a mask. Select all the points to move the mask. You can use the same methods to select masks and control points in both standard and RotoBezier masks. As usual, selected control points appear as solid dots; deselected control points appear as hollow dots.
