Orienting Rotation to a Motion Path Automatically

As a layer follows a motion path, its rotation remains unaffected. In other words, the layer maintains its upright position as it follows the path: Picture, for example, someone riding up an escalator, or the cabins on a Ferris wheel; they remain upright although they follow a sloped or curved path (Figure 15.37). Frequently, you want the object to orient its rotation to remain perpendicular to the motion path: Now picture a roller coaster climbing a hill (Figure 15.38).
