Chapter 2. Importing Footage into a Project > Creating and Saving Projects

Creating and Saving Projects

Creating a project is especially simple in After Effects, which doesn't prompt you to select project settings. Although there are a few project settings, you can change their default values at any time (as explained later in this chapter). As you'll see in the next chapter, most settings you specify are associated with compositions within the project.

Saving projects is also easier than ever. To more easily track changes to your work, you can instruct After Effects to save each successive version of a project using an incremental naming scheme.
