Perspective Effects

Ever since After Effects introduced 3D compositing (in version 5), the Basic 3D and Drop Shadow effects may sit unused in the Perspective submenu. However, effects like Basic 3D and shadow effects provide a simpler alternative to using 3D lights and layers. And until After Effects can extrude layers, the Bevel effects provide a good way of giving objects the appearance of depth.
