Chapter 12. Creating and Animating Text > Choosing Animator Group Properties

Choosing Animator Group Properties

Each animator group can include any combination of animator properties, which you can specify when you create the group or add using the group's Add pull-down menu. You should already be familiar with transform properties (position, scale, and so on), which work with type much the same way they work with layers. (With type, however, you specify whether each character, word, or line possesses an anchor point.) You can also animate properties unique to text (fill, stroke, tracking, and so on), which you learned about earlier in this chapter. Finally, you can set each character's value—the numerical code that determines which character is displayed. The following list describes your choices of animator properties in detail.
