Collapsing Transformations

Sometimes the render order in nested compositions can cause image resolution to degrade. This happens because transform properties, such as Scale, are calculated at every tier in the project hierarchy: first in the most deeply nested composition, then in the next, and so on. At each level, the image is rasterized—that is, its resolution is defined and then redefined in successive compositions.
