Lesson 6. QuickPaint > Setting Resolution

Setting Resolution

You can apply a QuickPaint node to another node, or you can create a floating paint node that can be later applied to a different node with a Layer or mask operator. When the node is floating, it will take the resolution of the defaultWidth and Height.

TIP

A good way to set the resolution is to create an Image–Color node and attach the QuickPaint node to that. You would then set the resolution in the Color node. When you are using the Color node, keep in mind that the alpha channel is set to 1—which is completely opaque—by default. Keep your resolution in mind because QuickPaint does not paint beyond the boundaries of the frame.
