Exporting an AVI from Premiere Pro

1.
Start Premiere Pro.

2.
In the Welcome window, click Open Project.

Select 14Lesson > Scene01.prproj and click Open.

4.
Click the Play button in the Monitor window.

This project has multiple clips in the Timeline. It is ready to export.

Make sure that the Timeline is active and choose File > Export > Movie

In the Export Movie dialog box, name the file Scene01.

Click the Settings button.

In the Export Movie Settings dialog box, Choose Microsoft DV AVI for File Type and Work Area Bar for Range.

9.
Make sure that Export Video and Export Audio are checked.

10.
Choose Project for embedding options.

When the AVI is rendered, information about the Premiere Pro project will be included in the file. In Encore DVD (or After Effects) the Edit Original command can launch the Premiere Pro project that created the AVI.

11.
Click OK to close the Export Movie Settings dialog box.

12.
Click Save.

If a warning box asks you to save the Premiere Pro project first, click Yes.

13.
When the file has rendered, close the project.
