A1: Use Real-Time Preview, render-scrub in the Timeline ruler, render-scrub in the Effect Controls window, and play back the work by clicking the Play button in the Program view.
A2: The track selector tool sets the direction of the transition between the two clips.
A3: Anti-aliasing smooths the edges of an effect, reducing the rough appearance of the edge. This can be useful for transitions that have angled or curved edges.
A4: The Reverse selector sets the direction of the effect used in the transition in the opposite direction. For example, in the Zoom transition, Clip A zooms in and Clip B zooms out. Upon reversal, Clip B zooms in and Clip A zooms out.
