Lesson 11. Titles and Credits > Using titles in a Premiere Pro project

Using titles in a Premiere Pro project

You'll have titles to place in the Timeline of your project when they are saved in the Title Designer workspace. When added to the Timeline on Track two or higher, they become superimposed over a video clip. Superimpose means positioning a clip, such as a title, still, or video clip, on top of another clip, so that they play at the same time. Clips in these superimpose tracks play over the clips in the corresponding lower tracks.

When using titles, Premiere Pro automatically assigns opacity and masking values, so clips on the lower tracks display through the title's background.
