Using the Scale, Rotate, and ZigZag effects

Next, you'll animate a still image by applying the Position, Scale, and Rotation effects within the Motion controls to create a pan zoom, and applying the ZigZag effect to add a swirling motion. These effects can be set to change gradually over time, in contrast to the Replicate effect you used earlier in this lesson, which can be changed only in discrete steps.

A Swirl sequence must be assembled for you to use in this lesson. You'll set up a number of actions to be initiated at the start of the sequence, which will establish several keyframes there: for Position and Scale and ZigZag. Later, you'll plot the moment in time for the scene to start spinning. Then, all effects will culminate at the same keyframe on the Out point of Always.avi.
