Developing a sequence and using Automate to Sequence

Before assembling a rough-cut of a video program, editors often create a sequence. A sequence is a visual outline of the project—a collection of sketches or still shots, which, in combination with descriptions, indicates the flow of the story.

In Adobe Premiere Pro, you can easily and quickly organize a set of clips into a sequence, which is similar to using a storyboard. When you are satisfied with a sequence, you can move the entire sequence into the Timeline window, using the Automate to Sequence command to create a rough-cut video.
