Exporting the movie

Now that you've finished editing, it's time to generate a movie file.

1.
Choose File > Export > Movie.

2.
In the Export Movie dialog box, click the Settings button. In the General settings, make sure that File Type is set to Microsoft DV AVI.

3.
Select Entire Project for the Range.

4.
Make sure that Export Video, Export Audio, Add to Project When Finished, and Beep When Finished are selected.

5.
In the Audio section, choose 48000 Hz for Sample Rate, 16-bit for Sample Type, and Stereo for Channels.

6.
Click OK to close the Export Movie Settings dialog box.

7.
In the Export Movie dialog box, specify the 07Lesson folder for the location and type 07Done for the name of the movie. Click Save.

While Premiere is making the movie, a status bar displays the time remaining to complete the process. When the movie is complete, it appears in the Project window.

8.
Double-click the movie to open it into the Source view of the Monitor window.

9.
Click the Play button () to play the movie you've just created.

For a complete understanding of all of the export options available in Adobe Premiere Pro, see “Output” in Lesson 13.
