Lesson 7. Integrating Adobe After Effect... > Using effects from other Adobe progr...

Using effects from other Adobe programs

Throughout the lessons in this book, you'll work with a number of video and audio effects. Some of them were first developed for Adobe After Effects, a professional editing system that is a powerful companion of Premiere Pro. Combined, the two programs provide a producer with a myriad of options for creating theatrical, broadcast, and commercial motion pictures.

Add the ability to import files from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and the scope broadens even more. The early 1990s unveiled the advent of 3-D animation special effects, known in the entertainment industry as computer generated imagery (CGI). Virtually every movie and television commercial requires the use of CGI. The graphics programs from Adobe are used by studios around the world to achieve convincing special effects in either subtle or spectacular ways.
