Exporting the movie

Now that you've finished your editing, it's time to generate a movie file.

1.
If you turned off audio previewing earlier in the lesson, make sure you turn it on again by clicking the icon in the track header area of each audio track so that it changes to the speaker icon ().

2.
Choose File > Export > Movie.

3.
In the Export Movie dialog box, click the Settings button. In the General settings, make sure Microsoft DV AVI is selected for the File Type.

4.
Select Entire Sequence for the Range.

5.
Make sure that Export Video, Export Audio, Add to Project When Finished, and Beep When Finished are selected.

6.
In the Audio section, choose 48000 Hz for Sample Rate, 16-bit for Sample Type, and Stereo for Channels.

7.
Click OK to close the Export Movie Settings dialog box.

8.
In the Export Movie dialog box, specify the 09Lesson folder for the location and type Seeya.avi for the name of the movie. Click Save.

While Premiere Pro is making the movie, a status bar displays the time remaining to complete the process. When the movie is complete, it appears in the Project window.

9.
Double-click the movie to open it into the Source view of the Monitor window.

10.
Click the Play button () to view the movie you've just created.
