Applying Video and Audio Effects 296 For this lesson, you should restore the default preferences of Premiere to the factory settings before you launch the program or start the lesson. See "Restoring default preferences" on page 5 of this Classroom in a Book. Getting started For this lesson, you'll open an existing project with most of the files already imported. Be sure you know the location of the files used in this lesson. Insert the CD-ROM disk if necessary. For help, see "Copying the Classroom in a Book files" on page 4 of this Classroom in a Book . 1. 2. 3. After you have restored the default preferences, launch the Premiere 6.5 software, and choose Single-Track Editing. In the Load Project Settings dialog box, choose DV - NTSC Real-Time Preview > Standard 32kHz, and click OK. Choose Window > Workspace > Single-Track Editing mode. Then choose Window > Work- space > Effects. This lesson is practiced in the Effects Workspace. Opening the existing project file 1. 2. Double-click the existing project 11Lesson.ppj in the 11Lesson folder to open it. Choose File > Save As, select the 11 Lesson folder location on your hard disk, type Cof- fee.ppj for the new project name, and press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS).
