Setting Up and Saving Your Timeline Display

Once you start working with a sequence in the Timeline, you may want to modify the window's default setup. Xpress Pro allows you to customize the way the Timeline displays a sequence and then save your preferences as a Timeline View setting.

You can create multiple Timeline View settings for different editing situations. For example, when editing audio, you will probably want your audio tracks displayed as large audio waveforms (Sample Plot), with Audio Auto Gain lines (Figure 5.39). In contrast, when working with video effects, you will probably want your audio tracks to be small, without waveform displays.
