Chapter 6. Making Edits > Using the Clipboard Monitor

Using the Clipboard Monitor

You can think of the clipboard monitor as a specialized source monitor into which you can quickly load material from one or more tracks of a sequence so you can edit it back into that sequence or another sequence, at a new location. In that regard, the clipboard monitor works just like a typical clipboard in any word processing application.

However, the advantage of using a clipboard monitor over a source monitor for loading and editing part of a sequence into another sequence is this: Before you load part of a sequence into the clipboard monitor, you can designate which tracks of the sequence you want to use.
