Performing a Slide Trim

A slide trim uses two single rollers to move an entire clip segment to the left or right in a sequence, changing its position on a track but not its In or Out point. A slide trim can be thought of as the reverse of a slip trim in that it changes the Out point of the clip that precedes the clip that you slide, and the In point of the following clip (Figure 7.23).

Figure 7.23. When you slide a clip, you change its position on a track. You also change the Out point of the preceding clip and the In point of the following clip.
