Importing Projects

In Premiere, a project can contain a single edited program sequence; and as you know, you can have only one project open at a time. Ergo, one project equals one program sequence. There’s a workaround for this restriction, however: You can import a project into the current project. This way, you can still work on a large project in sections and later bring them together into a single timeline.

The clips of the imported project appear in a bin in the current project. The bin is named after the imported project. You can insert the imported project’s program sequence at the beginning, at the end, or at the edit line of the current project. Any tracks needed to accommodate the imported project are added to the current project.
