Setting Gradient Options

As you saw in the previous section, three of the seven fill-types are gradients: linear gradient, radial gradient, and 4-color gradient. All the gradients change from one color to another. However, gradients can also change from one opacity level to another. For this reason, gradients use special controls to define color and transparency.

Under the Fill property heading, each color used in a gradient is represented by a color stop, a small box alongside a sample image of the gradient. For linear and radial gradients, the left color stop shows the starting color; the right color stop shows the ending color (Figure 12.94). Four-color gradients have a color box for each corner of the object (Figure 12.95).
