Setting Fill Options

Both text and shapes can be filled with a color. In addition to color, there are numerous other fill options.

To set fill options:

1.
Select an object in the drawing area.

In the Object Style area of the Title Designer, make sure that Fill is checked (Figure 12.92).

You may need to click the triangle next to Fill to view its properties.

Select an option from the Fill Type pull-down menu (Figure 12.93):

Solid— to set a uniform color fill

Linear Gradient— to set a fill that gradually changes from one color to another, in a linear pattern

Radial Gradient— to set a fill that gradually changes from one color to another, in a circular pattern

4-Color Gradient— to set a gradient composed of four colors, each starting from a different corner of the object’s bounding box

Bevel— to give the object’s edges a beveled appearance

Eliminate— to make the fill transparent, and unable to cast a shadow

Ghost— to make the fill transparent, yet capable of casting a shadow

Set other fill property values:

Color— use either a color swatch to select a color from a color picker or an eyedropper tool to sample a color from the drawing area

Opacity— 100% is completely opaque, and 0% is completely transparent
