Using the Font Browser

Choosing a font from a long pull-down menu works great if you’re already familiar with the font you want. But if you could use a little help selecting a font, use the Font Browser feature. It not only lists fonts, it also shows what they look like and instantly changes the font of the selected text. This way, you can preview various fonts before you settle on one.

Selecting a font using the Font Browser:

1.
Do one of the following:

  • Select one or more text objects.

  • Select a range of text.

  • Set an insertion point using one of the text tools.

From the Title menu, choose Font > Browse (Figure 12.42).

The Font Browser dialog box appears.

3.
In the Font Browser dialog box, select a font you want to consider (Figure 12.43).

The selected text reflects the font you choose in the Font Browser (Figure 12.44).

4.
When you find the font you want, click OK.
