Setting Tabs

Larger blocks of text may also use tabs. You can set tab stops much as you would in a word processing program, and view them right in a text box.

To set tabs:

1.
Using a text box tool, create a text box.

Choose Title > Tab Stops (Figure 12.29).

The Tab Stops dialog box opens.

In the Tab Stops dialog box, select the type of tab you would like to set (Figure 12.30):

Left-aligned tab

Center-aligned tab

Right-aligned tab

4.
Click above the ruler where you want to set the tab (Figure 12.31).

To delete a tab stop, drag it away from the ruler.

6.
Click OK to close the Tab Stops dialog box.
