Exporting Programs and Clips

If your computer can output a video signal, you can record to videotape using either the Print to Video or Export to Tape command. You can print to video in three ways: directly from the program, from a single clip, or from a storyboard.

When you record directly from the program or storyboard, the settings that you specify in the Project Settings dialog box determine the characteristics of the final video, such as the frame size and compression. You won’t be prompted to choose settings, so you may want to double-check them using the Settings Viewer (see Chapter 2, “Starting a Project”).
