Four editing and effects program windows form the basis of Final Cut Pro's desktop editing suite. The following brief descriptions of each window's features and functions are simplified summaries of the full list of features. Final Cut Pro's designers went all out to support a wide variety of editing styles, and they have produced a very flexible editing system.
The Browser (Figure 2.6) is the program window you use to organize and access all the media elements used as source material for your projects. It also contains your projects' sequences: the data files that contain your edited playlists.
